Paradise....for the water and nature lover. This Home is on a Private Island in Bogue Inlet Channel on the ICW. Spectacular views in all directions of sand islands, Nature Channels, awesome sunsets and access to any water sport you like. A private boat is available as part of rental with Mainland Parking and Dock. This house is very spacious for a private get-away for small family or couples. 1 Master Bedroom with Double Bed - 1 Guest Bedroom, with bunk style beds (double on the bottom and twin on top), 2 Baths (one inside/one outside with sink in each bedroom. The LOFT also has a sleeping area and mattress ( If you have young ones they will particularly like this hideaway feature). One sleeper/sofa - double size. 1 Color TV, 1 DVD Player, 1 Stereo/CD Player; Air Conditioning; Full Kitchen includes all dishes and appliances (except microwave). Grill and Charcoal also provided. Wood stove keeps it cozy all fall and winter. Screened Porch overlooks Huggins Island, Hammocks State Park, Bear Island (all accessible only by water), Emerald Isle and more, Enclosed Hot/Cold Outdoor Shower. Very "GREEN" home. Completely Solar Powered Electricity with Backup Generators. Water, stove, and refrigerator run on gas, Linen and Towels may be purchased, but only as Beds NOT made; NO SMOKING. DOGS ALLOWED With $125 Fee/Pet. (NO LEASH LAWS HERE!) Rents Weekly From Saturday to Saturday. A Refundable Security Deposit of $250 or The Non-refundable Alternative Damage Protection Plan of $45 is Required. Send us an email for off-season availability and rates.

This fabulous work of nature is located on a private island of 32 acres on this barrier island. Sand Island Refuge aka "Ski Beach" offers a huge variety of sport and entertainment. Fine dining and shopping in the quaint villages at Swansboro are less than 10 minutes by boat or auto. This island offers TOTAL privacy (except for the boaters on the beaches on the other side of the island on the weekend). Watch the ships coming and going from the rockers on the screened porch, fishing from the boat (40-Horsepower Motor, 17-Foot Boat), and two Kayaks, a 4 man canoe with other sport with a mile or so, i.e. wakeboarding, waterskiing, snorkeling, and much more. If you have children this is a great place for them to enjoy. Lots of opportunity for shell hunting, treasure hunting, kite flying, and sand dune jumping!

Upon arriving and check-in at the private dock you will be escorted to the island and given appropriate instruction for boat operation. Dogs are welcome here as there is NO leash law and lots to explore.

There are thousands of acres of undeveloped natural inlets, island beaches, marshes and miles of meandering natural water paths to explore with excellent fishing and wildlife viewing almost at every step. See herons, cranes, dolphin jumping and more!

At the initial orientation you will be guided on a short tour of surrounding islands and beaches. You will be instructed in the operation of the boat and motor as well as the utilities on the island.

Access to the White Oak River is within a mile of your vacation home. This River flows out of the Croatan National Forest. This stretch of river is about 12-14 miles in length. with lots of environments in this area. - The White Oak River is a broad salt water coastal river with many marsh, sand, & natural habitats to explore. You can fish for salt or freshwater fish the same day.
